COVID-19 Update
10/30/20
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.” Jeremiah 29:11-14
Rejoicing in our God who:
I shared this scripture verse back in July as we were almost four months into the Covid-19 pandemic. With the resurgence of the virus I wanted to reach out to you and remind you that we are here to serve you.….we want you to know that we care for you dearly! Please let us know if you need a visit, an appointment, a phone call, prayer or if you desire The Lord’s Supper.
If you plan on coming to 1C for worship, we would like to remind you of our guidelines and recommendations and encourage those who are at risk to stay at home and watch online.
When you worship at 1C, you can expect:
Additional Words of Encouragement from the Scriptures:
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.” Psalm 4:8
Additional Information:
LORD’S SUPPER
To provide The Lord’s Supper in a safe manner we are asking you to come early enough to pick up the elements (bread and wine/juice). Before you enter the Worship Center, there will be a designated area in the Family Gathering area, where you will be given those elements to bring into the Worship Center to be used during the distribution. We will remain in our seats for this distribution. (At 1C, generally 5th Graders and older, who have been instructed regarding the Lord’s Supper, are invited to participate in this Meal.)
CHECK IN
We will be encouraging each family to download the “Church Center App”. This will allow us to know who has attended worship services at 1C, in the event we need to communicate with you regarding Covid-19. We do not expect to need to do this, but we feel being diligent is good stewardship with those who choose to worship at 1C.
LIVE STREAMING
Live Streaming will continue to be offered at the 11am service every week. We are so thankful that the Lord has led us to begin Live Streaming back in November. We have been contacted by people throughout the country and the world who have been blessed by the worship at 1C. So, if you still prefer to stay connected online, we will be there! www.1church.com/messages www.facebook.com/1cchurch
PRAYERS
We have implemented a new way to request prayers. By texting 402-242-5051 you are able to request prayers during the service (or anytime) to be included in our worship services.
