Pre-Enrollment Paperwork Hours and Enrollment Serving Families with Flexibility At Bright Starts Childcare & Preschool, we understand the importance of flexibility for families. Our doors are open Monday to Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., providing a nurturing environment for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. We offer full-time enrollment options tailored to meet the developmental needs of your little ones. Our programs cater to the needs of young children and their families: Infants: 6 weeks - 18 months Playschool: 18 months - 36 months Preschool: 3 years Pre-K: 4 & 5 years Additionally, we provide before and after care for school-aged children during the school year, ensuring that your family’s needs are met year-round. Our BLAST program offers exciting activities for school-aged youth during the summer and on non-school days, making every moment a chance for fun and learning. BLAST Summer Camp Building Lives Around Sound Truth May-August 2026 7:30 am to 5:30 pm Registration Now Open! Mom & Dad! Click Here to Register! Join the Adventure! Hours: we are open from 7:30 to 5:30 Ages: entering Kindergarten* through entering 5th grade Dates: May – August We continue to offer free breakfast and lunch, following USDA guidelines as well as yummy inventive snacks this summer! Who doesn’t love snacks?! On top of all the great activities that BLAST has to offer like drift bikes, inflatables, water slides, assemblies, gyms, and activities, we will also get to experience field trips such as bowling, mini golf, parks, zoos, swimming, day trips to Camp Luther, and more! Activity sign ups will be posted each week and will be an additional charge of $5 per activity. Bring your water bottle, a book, a pair of socks, and tell your friends to come hang out at 1C with us this summer. We’ll be having a BLAST! *Children entering Kindergarten are allowed to come to BLAST on a part-time basis, as BLAST is not licensed as a childcare program. If you are interested in our childcare program, please contact us and ask us about Bright Start's Childcare and Preschool. All scholarship submissions must be put in by May 1st. BLAST does not accept state subsidies unless under the foster care system. All fees from previous years must be paid in full before registering for the current year Your eligibility to receive a scholarship will go under review if you have had previous outstanding balances. Our Story - The Church of the Second Chance 1C | The Sanctuary is a Church of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. In 2007, 3 Churches in Columbus were commissioned to start a seed Church in Columbus, NE, to specifically reach out to the un-churched and de-churched. We strive to meet people where they are at in life. We invite everyone to come as they are. Grab a free cup of coffee and a cookie, and hear the Word of God and meet Jesus.
